Back Pain Chiropractor

How often is your everyday life and tasks affected by your pain? Causing you to stop in your tracks while on a walk, driving to work, or simply spending time with family or friends.

Pain is a universal feeling and experience, you are not alone in your suffering. People everyday find themselves without a say in the life they wish to lead because of chronic pain and discomfort. However, many don’t realize you DO have a CHOICE in treatment for your symptoms.

When thinking of solutions to your affliction, you may consider medication or invasive procedures that don’t aim to truly solve the issue of pain. However, conservative approaches should be the first step to help alleviate your discomfort, with easier and less intrusive advancements to your care.

In 2009, a study published in the journal Spine revealed individuals suffering from low back degenerative spine changes that received spinal fusion reported no better results than intensive rehabilitation along with patient education emphasizing improvement in their pain or functioning. (Chou, R. et al.)

Chiropractic care not only works on adjusting the alignment of the spine manually but these specialized providers aim to educate their patients on all aspects of their health. In order to avoid unnecessary treatment or recovery delays to get you back to enjoying your life how you want to.

“Rather than undergoing the stress and uncertain outcome of surgery…try all alternative means at their disposal first-chiropractic, physical therapy, adjustments in their work environment, rest, and so on-to see if their symptoms can be alleviated” (Lenarz, M., & George, V. S., 2003, p. 314).

Reviewing lifestyle factors, environmental aspects, and your specific body anatomy is essential in creating your customized care plan. As well as ensuring patients understand in detail how to best proceed in being an essential factor in their recovery.

Published online in 2011, the American Journal of Public Health compared patients who presented with lumbosacral pain and the satisfaction from their treatment outcomes.

It was discovered that “chiropractic patients were more satisfied with their back care providers after 4 weeks of treatment than were medical patients…we found that receipt of self-care advice and explanation of treatment had strong estimated effects on patient satisfaction” (Hertzman-Miller, R. et al., 2002).

There are many conditions that have been shown to respond positively to chiropractic care from spinal ailments, chronic illnesses, to acute trauma caused by auto accidents or work injuries.
